What is Canvas in HVAC?

Canvas refers to the type of fabric typically used to cover ducts and chiller water pipeline insulation. Its primary purpose is to shield these components from everyday environmental damage and extend the lifespan of the thermal insulation.

Canvas is a readily available cloth material, commonly produced by local manufacturers. The main function of canvas is to safeguard thermal insulation from wear and tear, and there is no specific scientific methodology for selecting or creating this fabric.

Note: We are discussing insulation protective cloth layers, not ducting canvas.

What is Ceramic Coating in HVAC?

Ceramic polymer coatings consist of a thick white resin polymer solution that serves as a protective layer for ducts and pipe insulation.

The choice of different ceramic coatings depends on the level of wear and tear your application experiences and the degree of protection you seek for the thermal insulation.
