What is a Charging Valve in HVAC?

In HVAC systems, charging valves, also referred to as service valves, are among the most common and frequently utilized components in air conditioning systems.

These valves serve the purpose of charging refrigerant, releasing it, or pressurizing the system. They are categorized as essential fittings, as they allow technicians to monitor refrigerant levels and pressure, enabling them to carry out necessary tasks accordingly.
